Entrepreneurs, designers and inventors who are annoyed by brazen plagiarism cases have the opportunity again to submit their original products as well as the alleged imitations to the Plagiarius competition and to propose the plagiarist - be he manufacturer or dealer - as the winner of the negative award.
Before the jury of experts, which changes annually, selects the winners from all entries, Aktion Plagiarius will inform the alleged plagiarists in writing of their nomination and give them the opportunity to comment. The wide media coverage and high level of awareness of "Plagiarius" has regularly had a deterrent effect over the years: The fear of public embarrassment has already led many a plagiarist to seek an agreement with the original manufacturer and, for example, to take remaining stocks off the market, sign a cease-and-desist declaration or disclose suppliers.

The awarding of the defamatory prize has led the Asian imitator to stop the sale of the fakes and apologize to us. WIKA has thus been spared further legal prosecution and the associated time and, above all, costs! The award ceremony will take place during a press conference at the Frankfurt "Ambiente". During Ambiente (19-23 February 2021), all originals and plagiarisms submitted will be exhibited in a prominent position. Afterwards, the award-winning products will be presented to a wide audience at the Plagiarius Museum in Solingen, as well as online and at Plagiarius exhibitions.

- The original product
- The alleged plagiarism
- The completed registration form
- Correspondence with the plagiarist, if any
- copies of registered industrial property rights, if applied for
- If necessary, further background information that could be helpful to the jury (short/precise)
- If necessary, comparison of original / plagiarism (text, photos, video) - please no advertising for the original product
